Resolve Systems, the most widely-deployed automation and orchestration platform for IT, network and security operations, today announced that it has named technology veteran, John Ferron, as the company’s Chief Executive Officer effective July 17th.

John is the perfect business leader to guide Resolve Systems as the company moves through the next phase of growth,” said Michael Triplett, Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners, which owns a majority share of Resolve. “It was important that we found a leader not only with a strong software industry pedigree, but someone who had a flawless track record of helping high-growth businesses like Resolve Systems. We’re eager for John to dig in, and have full confidence that his experience and operational prowess will have an immediate impact on Resolve’s growth.

Mr. Ferron is a seasoned, operational executive with a proved track record of building and growing successful business with a primary emphasis in software infrastructure, private equity backed companies. Mr. Ferron most recently served as an operating advisor to Clearlake Capital Group since its inception in 2006. During this time, Mr. Ferron served as the executive chairman of Ivanti, a $600M software company, which provided security, service management, asset management and endpoint management solutions. Prior to Ivanti, Mr. Ferron was CEO and President of HEAT Software, NetMotion Software and Purple Communications.

Large organizations are under immense pressure to improve efficiencies, reduce operational costs and handle IT, network and security incidents at scale. This is a huge pain point in the industry, especially for CIOs and CISOs,” said Ferron. “Resolve’s approach uniquely addresses these pain points by providing a streamlined, automated platform that improves overall incident response times and service delivery across complex environments. I’ve been extremely impressed with Resolve’s technology , particularly around automation, and the strength of the team. I look forward to leading this unique and innovative company to further penetrate the enterprise market and integrate with the MSP network.

Resolve Systems recently introduced Resolve 6.2, its flagship product, to address the need enterprises have to handle IT, network and security incidents at scale, faster and with improved efficiency and reduced operational costs.
